Isobaric Beer Can Filling

Isobaric beer can filling uses controlled pressure conditions to reduce excessive foaming and carbonation loss during packaging. Before the main filling stage, the open can can be purged with CO₂ to reduce the amount of air remaining inside the package.
The filling valve then establishes suitable pressure conditions before chilled beer enters the can. By reducing the pressure difference between the product tank and the container, the system helps limit sudden CO₂ breakout and supports more stable filling performance.
Beer temperature is especially important during this process. Warmer beer releases dissolved CO₂ more easily, which can increase foam, product overflow and unstable fill levels. Stable product supply, controlled filling pressure and correct machine settings therefore work together to maintain consistent results.
After the target fill level is reached, pressure is released in a controlled manner before the can moves to lid placement and seaming.
This filling method is suitable for lager, IPA, wheat beer, craft beer, alcohol-free beer and other carbonated beverages where maintaining carbonation and minimizing product loss are important production requirements.

Precision Beer Can Seaming

Precision beer can seaming is critical to the final integrity of packaged beer. After filling, an aluminum lid is automatically placed on the can and transferred to the seaming station, where the can body flange and lid curl are mechanically formed into a double seam.
A properly formed double seam must provide a secure and consistent seal while maintaining the structural integrity of the can. Incorrect seaming adjustment can lead to gas leakage, loss of carbonation, package deformation or reduced shelf stability.
The seaming system therefore requires accurate control of can positioning, lid feeding, seaming-roll adjustment and chuck alignment. Tooling must also match the specific can body and easy-open end used in production.
For commercial lines, filling and seaming should be closely synchronized so that the time between product filling and package closure remains as short as practical. This helps reduce unnecessary oxygen exposure and supports more consistent packaged-beer quality.
